To meet mutually agreed-upon goals and objectives, our work is based on a complete situation analysis, a formal proposal (including program formulation and implementation), written agreements, periodic documentation (mutually specified) of all activities conducted on behalf of the client, a written report giving the details of the analysis and data, and a presentation of the results and their implications for action. While we believe in establishing long-term relationships, we also believe in assisting clients to the extent that they might implement and manage future change on their own. No assignment will be undertaken unless it has the potential for measurable return to the client.
At the college level, Apogee Analytics has been of assistance in determining why students leave or transfer after a certain period of time - usually after the freshman year. Using surveys that tap a variety of socioeconomic, curriculum, and personal factors together with internal measures of the college's own programs, models of student retention can be developed in ways that permit the targeting and adjustment of the college's programs to improve its retention rates. Retention analysis can also be - and often is -- undertaken among existing students to gain an ongoing sense of what is working, and what potentially needs to be changed, added or eliminated. While sample sizes vary based on the size of the school, the sample for a smaller institution is typically 100-300. In either instance, Apogee Analytics provides a complete analysis and full report of the findings. |
